People who donated or fundraised towards Friends of ANCHOR's Dream Big appeal in 2017 have heard directly from cancer researchers on how their donations are making a difference in the North-east.
The funds raised through Dream Big have been invested by the University of Aberdeen to recruit a world-class research team to the city.
That team has grown over the past few years, with the newest member being Friends of ANCHOR Clinical Chair in Oncology, Professor Anne Kiltie.
Last week we hosted a Dream Big catch-up, with guests hearing directly from Prof Kiltie and her colleague, Chair in Molecular Oncology, Professor Val Speirs.
The professors shared about their careers to date and their promising work in pelvic cancers and breast cancers specifically.
It was great to hear about their important research and the benefits that will be felt by patients now and in the future. All thanks to the support of our donors!
