Gala Golf Event

On Friday 14th June 2019 Friends of ANCHOR will host its 18th annual Gala Golf Event, heavily supported by our co-titles sponsors, Craig Group, Norse and The Chester Hotel; as well as the many generous companies who have come on board to help cover the costs of this prestigious and long-running event.

Countless teams have supported the event since its inception, returning year-after-year and we’re exceptionally grateful for that. This year, we have the opportunity to welcome even more teams to the tournament line-up due to the increased capacity at our Dinner venue, The Chester Hotel, where the function suite is currently undergoing an extension.

With the opportunity to have more joining us, we hope to have 33 teams take to the fairways for a tournament at Peterculter Golf Club, followed by a guest list of 250 in the evening for the prize-giving and dinner at The Chester Hotel.

The much-loved Friends of ANCHOR hospitality starts the moment the golfers set foot in the clubhouse. They are greeted with a golfer gift on arrival, a fresh breakfast roll and coffee, with our volunteer host team on hand to greet them and live music in the Clubhouse. The hospitality continues throughout the day with a refreshment buggy, BBQ lunch and refuel stations around the course - all followed by the five-star hospitality that awaits at the Dinner and prize giving.

All funds raised this year will go directly to the charity’s ANCHORED Together Appeal which sees the ambition to raise £2m for the NHS Grampian ANCHOR Centre which is due to open in late 2021.
